Seoul, May 25 (Liu Xu, Liu jingni) on the 24th local time, the China Japan ROK strategic cooperation conference jointly sponsored by the South Korean Institute of global strategic cooperation, Japan's Keio Korean Peninsula research center and the Japan Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was held offline in Seoul, South Korea. At the same time, Chinese and Japanese experts gathered in the clouds through video connection to discuss the situation in the Indian Pacific and the relations between China, Japan and South Korea.

On the same day, the theme of the conference was "India Pacific and South Korea China Japan Relations: three countries and three colors". Huang zaihao, President of the South Korean Institute of global strategic cooperation, Chunya Nishino, director of the Korean Peninsula research center in Keio, Japan, and Yang BOJIANG, director of the Japan Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences jointly announced the opening of the conference.

In their opening speeches, the three pointed out that Yin Xiyue's inauguration as president of South Korea and US President Biden's visit to South Korea and Japan will have a certain impact on China, Japan and South Korea, the Indian Pacific region and the world situation. Huang zaihao said that at this important node, experts from the three countries gathered together and hoped that the constructive proposals put forward by everyone would make meaningful contributions to the future development of relations between the three countries. Nishino also pointed out that although the three countries' all-round positions are not completely consistent, they still face common topics and challenges. Yang BOJIANG also said that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea and the 40th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. We should sum up the positive and negative experiences of the past, hold the bottom line, maintain the tone of peace and cooperation, and benefit the region and the world.

The meeting was divided into three sessions on the same day, with the themes of international and regional situation analysis and challenges, countries' strategic positions and responses of India and the Pacific, and cooperation between South Korea, China and Japan and the three countries. Experts from the three countries conducted analysis and discussion around regional situations and challenges. The participating experts agreed that there is no doubt about the important position of the Indian Pacific region in the global strategy, and called on the three countries to conduct all-round and multi field dialogue and exchanges to enhance mutual understanding.
